**Event Disclaimer** while not our event specific, it is National Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day. Meaning, take your kids, a kid, help others with kids biking anywhere. Just be sure to ask for permission if NOT your kids!  Our pals at Trips For Kids & Charlotte Re-Cyclery are hosting this event at our Founders summer career as MTB Program Director for Summer Camps. We at the Bikin’ Dads program fully support their efforts and will be partnering with them in various facets as we have for many years already.

This FREE event is open to everyone but if you are not a Greenway member you must pay the Greenway Usage Fee of $6 per person and $4 per youth (ages 5-12).

IMBA Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is an annual event that seeks to introduce the joy of mountain biking to the next generation. Created in 2004 in honor of Jack Doub, and recognized by the U.S. Congress, Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is officially celebrated every year on the first Saturday in October.

This year, Anne Springs Close Greenway and Trips For Kids Charlotte would like to invite you and your family to explore nature on two wheels! Stop by the trail kiosk at the Adventure Road Entrance from 1-4pm for:

  • Bicycle mechanics “quick checks” provided by Trips For Kids Charlotte/Charlotte Re-Cyclery
  • Guided group ride at 2pm
  • “Donation Drive” during the event – Do you have spare bikes, bike parts and/or accessories taking up space in your house? Donate them to Trips For Kids Charlotte to support youth and community bicycle programming!
